The Activity Fee for this year is $125 across the board for everyone. Please send the Activity Fee Form in with payment(s). 8th Grade students marching with us this Fall do not pay the Activity Fee.

CE BANDS will be participating in the Big Apple Classic Music Festival in New York City in Spring 2025. Click here for the itinerary.

We were excited to debut our new Concert Black in New York! On the way home, this has been a great experience for our kids. More picture to be posted in the coming days. #CEBANDS

Just a reminder that the Quatro’s Fundraiser is due on Tuesday, Math 18th. If you are finished selling, you can turn them in tomorrow.

Please make sure order forms and money are in the provided envelope and place it in the lock box in the band room. DO NOT turn into the office or your order will not be processed. Tuesday night at the parent trip meeting will be the absolute last chance to turn orders in. Wednesday will be too late.

Get those orders in on time so I can submit them before we leave for New York.

The Casey’s pizza cards are in. They will be going home with students tomorrow. Be looking for them and ask your students for them so they don’t get left in a backpack.

Congratulations to our Winter Guard on a fantastic season. They received their highest score yesterday, and first place in their class. Great work students and staff!

We leave for NYC one week from today. Thank you to all of our sponsors for this trip; you have helped make this experience a reality for our students.

Congratulations to all of our CE Band students who participated in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest this past weekend at Herrin High School. Great job on your individual performances. All students who participated received a Division I (Superior) or II (Excellent) rating and will receive those medals at the CE Band Awards Night in May. Murphysboro High School is hosting the IHSA Organizational Contest on April 11th and 12th. Both the Concert and Jazz Bands will compete at this contest.

CE Winter Guard continued their competition season today with a performance at Wentzville Liberty HS. They took first place in their class! Great job, students and Guard staff! I enjoyed your performance today. Mr. W

On behalf of the Crimson Express Boosters, I would like to thank everyone who came out for dinner last night. Your support means the world to our students.

We would also like to give a huge THANK YOU to Lindsey McCay and Texas Roadhouse, Marion, IL, for hosting us and generously donating to our program!!

We had a great day on the SIU Carbondale campus for the 2025 River-to-River Honor Band Festival. Great job to all the students who performed in both the Honor Jazz Band and Honor Symphonic Band!

We had a great Alumni/8th Grade Pep Band night! CE Pep Band season closes out on a high note. Next up, NYC for the Concert and Jazz Bands.

Great job to the CE Winter Guard today at Francis Howell High School. A very good first performance of the season, and a 2nd Place Finish in their class. Congrats again! Our Winter Programs are now in full swing.

Congratulations to the following students for making the River-to-River Honor Band Festival: Oshun Fabian (Symphonic Band), Lily Morthland (Symphonic Band ), Phineas Ricks (Symphonic Band), Ethan Mueller (Symphonic Band), Maddie Pulcher (Symphonic Band), Maddison Kupferer (Symphonic Band), Greta Snyder (Symphonic Band), Harper Geis (Jazz Band), Amir Williams (Jazz Band), Leo Hughes (Jazz Band), Eli Fry (Jazz Band), and Preston Moreland (Jazz Band). They will participate in the festival at SIU Carbondale on Tuesday, February 25th. Music and more information to come next week. Congrats once again!

Good morning! In an effort to get as many fundraisers in as possible, we are starting our February fundraiser today. Students will be selling Casey’s pizza cards.

Each card will be sold for $20 and students will earn $10 from each card sold. Purchase one (1) large specialty pizza and get one (1) FREE medium single topping pizza. A medium single topping pizza is $13.99. That’s $140 savings with each card!

This card may be used 10 times before March 31, 2026. They can be used at any Casey’s location. They can not be used online. If you wish to order online, choose the “pay in store” option to use the card when you pick up your order.

Orders and money are DUE: Friday, February 21, 2025. Please make sure your orders are turned in on time. You can always turn them in early if you are finished selling. Orders and money should be placed in an envelope with the student’s name on it. Extra envelopes are in the basket directly below the lock box.

Mark your calendars for our next Dine-to-Donate night at Texas Roadhouse on Thursday, February 27th from 4:00 to 10:00pm. Support Crimson Express by simply dining at Texas Roadhouse in Marion, IL and no additional cost to you. Just show your wait person the attached flyer and 10% of your total food purchases will be donated to Crimson Express.
